For the third time in a row, the Friedrichstadt-Palast Berlin hired Andreana Clemenz to direct the Young Show 'In the Labyrinth of Books' – the most elaborate children's and youth show in Europe.
Background:
To fly on the wings of imagination with Robin Hood in his dark forest, land with Robinson Crusoe on a lonely island and drift away with the three musketeers to old Paris. How is that supposed to work? This time, Lea, Jule and Ben, who we know from the last Young Theater Production „Spiel mit der Zeit”, don't try to blast yourself through time with a defective game console, but by reading books. "Old books looked at anew - with a youthful wit," is how director Andreana Clemenz describes the principle of her production.
Andreana Clemenz pulled out all the stops in the direction and artistic concept. Her approach was to make the books come alive in different styles on stage and to make the art of paper aesthetics from pop-up to origami to cut-out look aesthetically innovative. A masterpiece of imagination, acting, choreography, costume, set design and music.

The daily mirror
"There's no question - the Young Shows are taken no less seriously at the house than the big revues in the evening program."
